I read some of the reviews both positive and negative and went ahead and purchased 2 of the lights. To answer one of my questions I had prior to purchase, each light comes with it's own remote. The remote is somewhat limited, but it does work as long as you follow the instructions (which are a little confusing since it's translated from chinese). You have to slide the side switch to the "N" position after installing the A23 12v. battery, then extend the antenna and point the remote toward the light at very close range, then press the On/Off button which seems to program the remote to the light. After that the remote will function but the range is limited. Also, the main power to the lights has to be on first and then the remote will control the lights. The remote will not turn on the lights if the main power from the pool is off. I hope this clarifies the remote setup and operation. All in all the lights look great but it's too early to tell how long they last.
