Well packaged. Parts and components separated by a cardboard insert and individual bags. It comes with light strip, power supply, connector, brackets, screws, wire jumpers, and silicon covers.Directions did not include setup or use of jumpers and silicon covers. The directions do include these accessories in the list of items ( as "accessories") but they do not tell you how to use them. The two 5" jumpers come "tinned" with solder on one side and pre-stripped on the other. If you cut the light strip next to a set of connectors that has solder already on then you can easily solder the pre-stripped ends there. If you cut across the plain connections then you can use the pre soldered ends. Just make sure that you feed the wires through the center of the silicone cover before you do your soldering. That silicone boot then covers both the wires, the connection and cut end of the strip very nicely.Installation was very easy. I opted to get 10' aluminum channels (specifically made for LED light strips) that Amazon sells. The actual installation process was not that much different than it would have been without the channels except that I was screwing in metal brackets instead of the plastic brackets that come in the kit. I cut the strips to length using a plain scissors (cutting through the center of the metal tabs that are every few inches). Whether you use a channel like I did or you plan to stick this directly to a wall or cabinet, I recommend that you start by peeling back an inch or so of the double sided tape on the back to get it started. This tape is very strong so you want to make sure to get it right the first time. After getting it started, I used one hand to guide the strip while pulling the backing off with the other hand as I went along. This method worked very well. There are two options for power. The first is to connect the strip directly into the barrel plug at the end of the lead from the 110VAC to 12VDC wall adapter. The other is to insert the included in-line power switch between the LED strip and the wall adapter lead. We plugged ours into a smart power strip to facilitate control by our smart home.We have a narrow hallway in our home which has bookshelves. This light strip was perfect for lighting up that space. We installed the strips vertically which not only lights the space up very well, but gives the area a very cool, modern look as well.We plan to install more of these strips in the near future and would recommend them easily.I recently moved to a new place for work and wasn’t happy about the lighting in the kitchen. Our new place has a single ceiling light in the kitchen, with a small light above the sink. It’s awfully dark at night and thought I’d add some under-cabinet LED strips. I ordered these as they were white light only and offered over 16 ft of LED strip, which seemed like more than enough.I’ve never installed LED light strips, but I have quite a bit of experience with electrical and electronics, having (properly) installed over a half a dozen car audio systems. So, new to LED strips, but not electrical. While shopping for these, I noticed the “cut points” were only 4” apart, allowing for efficient use of the LED strips. There is an LED about every inch of strip, so the LEDs are somewhat dense, which is great. This kit included a 16.4’ (5m) spool of dimmable LEDs with 3000K color (warm light), a power supply, a touch switch with dimmer function and some extra hardware to mount the LED strip. I tested the LEDs when they arrived and the entire strip was perfectly lit. The end of the strip is terminated with a cover, while the other end has a female plug for power from the power supply. The kit included 10 ea plastic clips & screws to mount the strip more securely than the pre-installed adhesive strip that runs the entire length of the strip. After inspecting the strip and included hardware, it became obvious that rejoining any cut strips would require some soldering. It’s not horribly difficult to solder the pieces together using some adequate wire, but some vendors provide snap on “joiners” that can be pressed or glued to the strip, allowing one to rejoin cut sections. This is handy for tight turns, which I’d planned to use in order to have several strips under each cabinet, providing 2-3X the light. This could still be done by using the clips to hold the strip, but there weren’t enough of them for the entire strip. With only 10 clips, you’d use one for every 19” of strip, relying heavily on the adhesive to hold most of the strip.Unfortunately, that’s the weakest part of the kit. I wouldn’t hold any vendor responsible for poor adhesive as I’ve never used any adhesive that will bond to unfinished wood. This kit included some glue, but I wasn’t interested in using a permanent adhesive. Even though this product uses 3M adhesive which among the best, it’s just not going to adhere to unfinished wood. With that discovery I decided to light one of the corner areas instead of one entire row of cabinets. I measured out a 30” section of LED strip and cut with some heavy duty scissors. Then I attached 4 clips and tucked the LED strip under the cabinet. I routed the power cord to a wall plug and attached the power supply. It was a first time GO!The lights look GREAT and completely invisible. I mounted the touch switch facing down and I can find pretty easily in the dark. Just 30” of LED strip was more than enough to light the countertop. When I’m feeling productive I’ll order some solder and perhaps add another 30” to see if it’s adequate, but I fear it might be too bright! These LEDs are incredible as they consume so little power. I’d have really liked a remote control, but the touch/dimmer switch works just fine. It detects your touch, there are no moving parts. If you hold the switch with the light ON, the lights will begin to dim. Power off, then on and hold the switch and the lights brighten. The switch correctly “remembers” the dim setting and just turns on or off with a touch. The touch switch operation is consistent. The LED strip included here is high quality and uniform. My only gripe would involve the hardware. I’ve used only 30” of LED strip, but have only 3 clips remaining. Extra hardware is pretty cheap, but just a few extra parts would have dramatically increased the flexibility of this kit. Still, I’m very pleased with the result and would recommend this kit along with those caveats. Nice work, MEEVT! ?I got this for to add some cool lighting in my kitchen. Setup wasn't too bad. The double tape is already on the line (it could be a bit stronger). This came with plastic brackets to hold the strip in place for corners would end up coming up. This was the hard part, as the screws are really tiny, but end result looks great. I believe this can be cut, as the kit has an extra end plug. The switch is a soft touch, and one of great features, it also has a couple brightness modes.Beyond the tape needing to be a little stronger, the end result looks great and this functions really well.So many of the strip lights now have color modes and a remote that you have to keep track of. I was not interested in those so I was happy when I found this one. Short press on/off and long press to adjust the brightness. It is nice and bright on high and almost as dim as a night light on low, so the range is great. We ran this along the edge of a shelf behind the couch so we could get nice light that wasn't shinning in our face when we are watching movies. I had to knock a star off for the adhesive - is not very good and the clips they send were not a fit for our application. I was able to go to the local hardware store and get it figured out with some mini staples. Over all I am happy with this light.
