I upgraded the laser on my cutter from 5.5x to 11w. I compensated for the increased power demand by also upgrading the power supply (wall wart type) from 12v3a to a (laptop style)12v5a. In cutting tests it seemed to top out at about 85% power so I temporarily hooked up both the 3a and 5a supplies and that seemed to rectify the issue of it topping out. Not wanting to deal with two power supplies, I ordered this item. Unfortunately the laser is at another location that I won't be getting to for another week or two.When I get there I will update this review if I find any issues and/or if this 10a PS doesn't work at least as well as a 3+5 setup. I will test it first with 1 and 0.5ohm resistive loads and see whether the voltage is within spec and if so hook it up to the laser and test operation. Consider no news to be good news.update: Finally got around to testing it. I set it for 12v at 10A through 1.33ohm load and it outputs about 12.15v at no load, so good enough for me. When the laser is running 100% pwr and moving around (2 stepper motors) the voltage fluctuates between 12.05 and 12.10. My only complaint is the lack of documentation. One simple image in the listing with the screw hole pattern dimensions would have saved me a lot of time and effort with measurements. The drawings exist somewhere, so no cost except a little admin to add them to the listing.
