installed two of these along the back deck and patio- very bright. dark blue, almost purple- like the light used for outdoor bug zappers. So, this is why I didn't give a 5 star- it appears as though bugs LIKE blue light- so it attracts them toward us. Don't get me wrong, I like the color- just need to burn the citronella to keep the bugs at bay. Simple installation- but you may need more of the rope clips.The only problem it seems is that the lights in the tube don't all face the same direction so there are some bright portions of the string and some not so bright sections.We put them under our 5th wheel camper when we're camping. Can always find our camper in the dark, and get lots of compliments on how nice they look!I found these lights while searching for more LED rope lights for our Christmas display. This year, decided to dump the individual C9 bulb strands along the roof line with ropes as it's just easier to lay the rope out. I will say, I'm pleased with these. I ordered (3) spools of these (150 feet). I've used LED rope lights for our Christmas displays for rivers and lakes (blue ropes come in great for this). I've included pics, may help with any questions. The lights came well packed and and plenty of connectors. One good thing about the 150' length is you get (3) additional electrical cords, and plenty of connectors. The Directions for these are very complete and you can order some of the 90 degree angle connectors if you desire a perfect square, but I didn't see the need. You can cut the rope every 3' Be sure to look for the scissors icon where to cut. We used a full 150' spool for the larger part of the roof, then cut 60' feet off a second spool and connected the 60' to the first 150' to finish the large section. The remainder of the second spool was enough to do the smaller section of the roof. When cutting and joining, be sure to turn the power off. You might find that during a cut, the added section may not light for a foot, but that was our error as we didn't cut at the scissor mark. These rope is good and flexible and durable. I was throwing the rope (with lights on) up onto the roof. Then we were flipping the rope, like a lasso over the vents, 6 feet in the air and the rope would fall the roof. Not one light went out. To make the rope more flexible, I recommend unrolling the entire spool and let the rope relax. You can do this in the yard or large room. I have a video, but even small, can't load yet, but will try. I recommend these lights.Easy to put upLooking for a bright colored, long lasting replacement for LED Christmas lights. Hopefully these will last for years. The colors are very close to the shades of most LED multi-colored lights. They appear kind of pastel in the seller's pictures, but that is because they are on the roll. Fingers crossed on the longevity.it was very hard to stand on a ladder and determine which is the bright side of the led lights, if not installed correctly you have bright and dim spots. I feel they should mark the "back side"I've contacted the company as it states to do in regards to warranty information. Ive spent over a $1000.00 on rope lights which work wonderful on my 5 acre country parcel. However, my purchase of 150' blue rope light didnt even last a year. Set on a timer for 6 hr a night. Far from the 50,000 hrs as advertised. Please contact me customer service. Just want a replacement.Good lites came quickly but quite pricy or would have given 5 stars
