I love that the LED's are spaced so densely that it gives the appearance of one long continuous strip of light; this provides very uniform lighting. The photo sensor detects movement over a wide area and the unit can be set so that it activates only when the area is not lit from other light source; this makes this unit perfect for use as a bedroom nightlight.I installed the light strip along the bottom edge of the bed frame and positioned the photo sensor on the side of the bed I get in and out of. The installation is completely hidden by the bedspread during the day. At night, the sensor can detect the movement of my feet as I get out of bed and the light immediately turns on. I love it!The only difficulty I encountered was trying to remove the white tape strip that covers the adhesive on the back of the light strip. In theory, you are supposed to be able to carefully separate this strip from the adhesive leaving the adhesive bonded to the light strip. No matter how I tried, the adhesive stayed stuck to the removed white strip rather than staying on the back of the light strip. After many tries, I decided to use clear shipping tape over the front of the light strip and was able to fasten it securely to the underside of the bed frame.The first photo shows the side of the bed with the room lights on, while the second shows the "nightlight" turning on when it detects movement.This is just one of the many places you might use this very versatile automated strip light.
